First stick
I have been working at the plasma place for one whole week now. The training process as gone by so fast!! The first day was no fun at all. I sat and read for eight hours straight. I think i read more that day than I have read in my entire life time!! On Monday they taught me how to set up the machines. I had to set up 25 machines before I could be taught anything else. Once I got all 25 of my set ups I was able to start on DC's which is basically taking the needle out of the persons arm when they are finish donating. I started DC's on Tuesday and had to get 25 of those also. I finished with my DC's in one day. Today I started sticking people. I was so nervous to start sticking people. The first one I did I was shaking real bad, but it ended up going in smoothly. Afterward I was relieved I had done a super good job and it was not even as bad as I thought it was going to be. I just have 20 more sticks to go before I can be certified!! I am glad I pretty much know everything I need to know.

New Job
As most of you know I haven't had a job for quite sometime. Last week I went in for an interview at APX alarm for inside sales position. I have never done sales before, but I just thought I would give it a try and see how it went. Well I started training this last monday and the first 2 days went well. Then I woke up this morning and decided that it probably wasn't the right job for me. Justin had text me yesterday and told me to go in to Bio-medic(a plasma donation center) because his frined manages it. I went there this morning and talk to him. He said that everything looked great and I seemed like a great person for the job and I got it!! I am so excited to be working in a plasma donation center. I get to meet a lot of new people. It is going to be a lot of fun!! Thanks for hooking me up Justin!!

Mini Christmas Tree
You can't have a house without a Christmas Tree at Christmas time. None of us really had money to go out and buy a tree, but I really wanted one. I had a Job interview and I decided that if I got the job I would go buy a tree. I got the job so I went straight to the Chirstmas Tree lot. I only had $15 dollars so all I could afford was a little mini tree but it sure was cute. I brought it home and since I bought the tree my roommates had to buy the decoration. Later that night Kara and Tiffany went out and bought some orniments and lights and of course Tiffany couldn't have a tree with out tinsel. When they got home we blasted the Christmas music, made hot chocolate and decorated the tree all together. It is not the best Christmas tree ever but it does the job for us. After we decorated the tree we went and looked ar Christmas lights. We saw a house that had the whole north pole in thier front room. It was pretty cool!

Purse Theives!!
So just when I didn't think my life could get any worse because I lost my job it did get a little worse. Nicole, Tiffany, and me all decided late thursday night that we wanted to head up to salt lake to go to a dance partyat Studio 600. It was a neon theme so everyone had to wear neon colored clothes. It was super fun while we were there and then we left and got to my car to find out that some one had broken into it. They broke the driverside window out and went through my whole car and took everything. We had put our purses in the trunk because we thought that would be the safest place for it...apparently not. I looked in my trunk and they were all gone. Our lives were over!! we had everything in our purse. Nicole and me even had our social security cards in ours. We spent an hour out in the freezing cold trying to get a police report done, Talking to our parents and saying a few choice words. We were all so angry!! We all spent our friday getting our credit cards and bank accounts closed and getting our social security card situations getting taken care of as much as we could. You don't think it will ever happen to you and then it does. I have deifinitly learned my lesson.I will never leave anything in my car again. And next time we go to studio 600....we will be walking!

BLIZZARD!!
I was sleeping so good this morning until about 7 when Kara woke up and was startled by what she saw outside and she then woke me up to show me. To my surprise there was snow everywhere! The first snow fall of the season. Of course I had to run into Tiffany's room and wake her up to show her. It was just like christmas morning....except there was no excitement because no one likes the cold. I am not liking it too much because I don't have any winter clothes. My feet are going to freeze because all I have are flip flops. I guess this means I am going to have to go on a shopping spree. With the money I do not even have. At least for right now I don't even have to leave my house for school or work because I don't have either of those.

Halloweenie
This year for halloween my friends and me had a hard time figureing out what we should be. Since most of us don't have much money we didn't want to spend $50 dollars on a costume. Not only did we not want to spend that much money on a costume, we wanted a costume that would cover our bodies. We didn't want be like all the other girls that wore a bra and panties and called it a bunny or what not. So thursday night came and we came up with this great idea of being homeless people. It was cheap and easy and our bodies were covered. I don't see how girls can dress up in just bra and panties and bee comfortable. Thats no fun if you have to keep making sure your covered and stuff. I heard some girls saying that guys won't want to hang out with or talk to you at any parties if your not dressed with hardly anything on. Why would you want guys like that anyways if all they like is practically naked girls. Anyways so Friday came Nicole Gibson drove down from Salt Lake and we all got ready to go out. Kara, Tifafny and Me were all dressed as homeless like I said and Nicole was dress as Jackie off That 70'ws Show. We went to dinner and then went to the UVU dance party. The dance wasn't that great. There was way too many people there and we couldn't even dance let alone move. After a couple hours we decided to leave and head back to our apartment and just hung out for a bit then went to bed. This year just wasn't the best halloween but thats ok.

St.George Warmth
Kara, Kaden, and me went to St.George last weekend and it was so nice. The weather was perfect for the whole time except for one day it was kind of chilly. I was happy to be able to get out of Orem for a bit. It has started to get cold lately so it was good to be able to go to some warm weather. I got to spend time with my family and a few friends it was fun. My parents even took me to my favorite place to eat, Samurai 21. It is the best japanese food ever. I got a nice juicy steak with shrimp, it was super super good! Of course my mom also cooked for me!! Oh how I miss her cooking for me!
I also had to opporunity to go visit some of the disabled ladies that I used to work with down there. I have not seen them since I have moved up to Orem, so I was excited to go see them. I miss working with them so much they are so funny and cute! They were all excited to see me when I got there. Especially Susie, she has down syndrome, she is my favorite of all of them. She had so much to tell me and she got so excited to see that I had brought her some M&M's(her favorite).
Sunday we left St.George at about 5 and got home at about 9. When we got back to Orem it was so cold! There was even snow, and I was not happy to be back to the coldness. The last couple of days have been a little bit warmer but not much.

Broken Phone
Old Ghetto Phone!
A few weeks ago I called my dad telling him that I would be needing a new phone soon because the one I had was not going to last much longer. He asked me if it would be fine until about Novemeber......I told him that I thought it would, but I was wrong. That very same day it was done for. The little part where you plug it in to charge got pushed into the inside of the phone. don;t ask me how that happened but it did. Therefore It was not unable to charge. Luckily I had a spare phone for times like these (a very ghetto one but it gets the job done). I called altell and had them switch me to the other phone and everything was good. Since there is not an altell store up here in Orem I was just going to use the ghetto phone until I could head down to St.George to get a new one.
One of my friends told me he wanted to go down to St.George soon to go visit a buddy of his and he said I could just get a ride down there with him. So last weekend I got work off to go down there and at the last minute the day we were supposed to go my friend told me he could not go anymore. I had gotten work off, so I was just going to drive down by myself because I really wanted my new phone. Kara then told me that if I wanted to wait until the nest week I could just go with her. I decided that I would just do that instead. Another week with the ghetto phone was no big deal. Until that night when I was dancing the night away at a dance party my phone flew out of my pocket. The battery come off and when I turned it back on the screen on it was not working. I was so bitter because now I had no phone at all. What was I going to do without a phone for a week? So far I have survived and tonight I get to head to St.george and the first thing I do when I get there is get a new phone.

New Addition
So my friends and I decided to add a new addition to our group. That addition would be our cute new puppy Homeboy. We let our good friend Kaden name him. This is going to be kind of hard to believe but Homeboy is a pitbull. He only cost $100 killer deal thats for sure. We love him and he is so cute right now. We are going to make it so he is a nice pitbull. Not one of those mean mean ones. If he is mean we just might have to give him up. But for now he is our best friend!! Homeboy is still in the process of being potty trained. For the most part he goes outside but there are times that he does pee inside which is not good but what do you do I guess.

So Excited!
The other day while I was having my daily phone converstion with my mom (yes I call my mom once if not more times a day) she mentioned to me that my sister Kim and her family were going to be in Utah for Christmas. I am not sure if I have ever mentioned that Kim and her family moved to Indiana so her Brett could attend dental school. She has been gone now since July. I miss them all so much. So when my mom had told me that they were going to be home during Christmas I got so excited. That ment I needed to start playing my Christmas vacation ahead of time so I can be sure to have as many days as possible off to go to St.george and spend time with them. I have already got it all planned out so hopefully it works as planned. I am pretty confident it will. This also has solved my problem of somehow coming across $600 for a plane ticket to go out and visit them. Now that they are coming here I don;t need to worry about that until next year sometime.

No Worries!
Ryan Sheckler
My friends and I found out that Ryan Sheckler(a very good looking pro skateboarder) was going to be in Salt Lake this weekend and so we could not pass up the chance to go meet him in person. I know what you are thinking and yes we are a bit old but we just could not resist. So we drove up to Salt Lake to where the event was paid $15 to get in and found out that only 125 people could meet him and that we were not going to able to because we didn't get there in time. The only other way that it was possible for us to meet him was to spend $75 but that would only get 2 of us in and there was 3 and there was no way we were going to do that. We were so mad!! I tried begging one of the guys to just let us in but he was not having. I then saw this little girl that had spent the $75 go get in line......she was by herself and since the $75 was for 2 people I decided that I would ask her if i could be her friend and go with her. It was not a bad decision at all I got lucky she said yes! I was so excited. However Kara and Holly had to wait outside for an hour while I went and met him...it was kind of sad. Atleast they still got a glimps of him from outside.
Even though I got to meet him I was still kind of bitter because I asked this girl to take a picture of me and him and this is what she took.......I was not even facing the stupid camera.

I took my first test this week....I won't mention what I got on it but it sure was a disappointment. I thought for sure I was going to get an A and that thing but I obviously thought wrong. I better step it up because it is only going to get harder.
Work has been going pretty well. I am starting to the hang of things now. I still need to work on a few things but I will eventually get it all down. It has been really nice because I only work 2 days a week. I know that does not sound like a lot and it really isn't but it sure does seem like it when I a putting in 9 hour days...that is enough for me to handle. I like having those 5 extra days to do whatever I feel like doing. Which is usually just sitting around but it sure is nice.
I have had a lot of fun the past week or two. My roommates and I like to go out and do crazy things. I have enjoyed meeting all the new people I have met.
Kara, Tiffany, and myself all decided that we wanted to go camping on Monday night. We couldn't find anyone to go with so we resulted in building a tent on our balcony. It was super fun. We had smores and ghost stories. It was not exactly like a real campout but it was as close as it was going to get.
We have attended a couple dance parties where we have had to dress up on neon clothing. Those were both pretty fun. The most fun part about it was actaully getting outfits together to wear.

crazy week
This week has been quite the week. Since I haven't had a job for about a month and I wasn't doing anything but sitting home all day doing nothing I couldn't pass up the opportunity to go down to St.George with Tawsha and Justin. It was kind of a last minute trip, but I sure did enjoy it. Being able to spend time with my mom was great! I miss just being able to go home and having her there to talk to and such. It was also nice to be able to have all the food I could eat as well as the super good home cooked meals my mom prepared! Me living on my own now it is not often that I actaully get a good home cooked meal. I definitely miss those meals. Having no job results in having no money. So I was ready to go to work at Old town and Country, the place I worked at before I moved to orem, so I could earn a little bit of money to last me a little while.
I even had a great time spending time with the litle sisters we had fun.
On monday after I returned to Orem one of my friends called me asking me if I would like to have an interview for a job. I was so excited to have an interview for a job. I went in for the interview and it went reall well. Nick then called me Monday night letting now when I was going to start. I was so happy I finally got a job. That just ment I didn't have to spend my days sitting around home all day, and I would be making money.
Wednesday was my frist day of work at Customform Coutnertops as a receptionist. I am not going to lie I was little nervous to start but it all went well. So far I like it...the pays not bad and my hours are pretty good.
I also started school this week. I am taking one class but it sure is a tough one. I am so nervous for this semester. If I don't slack off I should be just fine. I am determined to get an A in this class. It is going to be hard work but it will feel nice when I get it done.

Summer Adventures
It sure has been a fun filled summer and I hate to see be over so soon! I have had a lot of adventures. It started out with our family vacation to the beach house in San Diego. I enjoyed that very much. Spending a week with the WHOLE family. Even though the weather was not very good we still managed to ge a little sun, go to six flags and just enjoy each others company. We also got creative and tried to see how many people we could get into the big giant bath tubs that the beach house has...that was a fun time!
I had the opportunity to go skydiving. I had been wanting to go skydiving for so long and I can fianlly say I have done it. It was super scary at first and I even wanted to back down and not do it, but as soon as I jumped out of that plane I was so glad I didn't back down. I wish it was not so expensive or else I would do it again for sure.
I have been down to St.George a few times to spend time with Kim and her family before they moved to Indiana....sad day I am going to miss them very much! I also attending the Hannig family reunion. As well as went down to vegas with my little sisters. We went shopping(I didn't buy anything because I am just a poor college student), hung out, and just had fun together.
Last weekend a few of us went to Flaming Gorge for a camping/water rafting trip. Kara, Tina and me built our own tent all by ourselves. We were quite proud of it. The trip was pretty fun even though it was raining and our tent was not water proof!
I am going to lake Powell on Friday and I can't even wait. I have been waiting for a Lake Powell trip all summer and it is actually happening. When I get back I will have to tell all about it!
Move #2
Well it has been 3 months since I have moved up to Orem....wow how time flies. I finally get to move into my permanent apartment!! It is so much nicer than the one I have beem living in and it actually has a washer and dryer. However I have never done my own laundry before. Guess I will just have to learn, or bribe kara into doing it for me. Did I mention that kara and I get bunkbeds? Yes that is right bunkbeds...it is going to be so much fun haha! However we built them ourselves and they are abnormally high bunkbeds. Kara and I both fear for our lives. Kara fears because they might collapse and squish her to death, and I fear because I am on the top and i might fall off....mind you it is like a twenty foot drop it seems like. It is also alot cleaner. I sure hope my roomamtes are not messy. I know it is kind of hard to believe but I enjoy cleaning my apartment and keeping it clean. When iI lived at home you would never hear me say that, nor did I clean or even like it. My mom always did that for me, so I had it easy. I can't stand messy roommates. These past three months have been horrible. I have had to live with one of the most disgusting girls ever. Boy am I glad to get away from her.
